0IX. overall personality despite everything that jason has been through, he is surprisingly optimistic about life, though his optimism can only go so far. he does not see any way to get out of the mess he got himself into, but at least he has a source of steady income, right? he will always try to find a bright side in any situation though others may seem his bright sides as, well... just another dark side. for example, maybe he ran out of heroin, but at least he has some cocaine, right? that's better than nothing in his eyes. maybe he forgot to bring some water, but he's got some vodka hidden in one of his water bottles. he almost cut too deep last night, but at least he has a clean long sleeved shirt to hide it. to put it simply, his optimism is always showed in some way y his diseases and addictions. he puts on such a believable happy mask that sometimes he even finds himself believing it, but then when he's alone, everything comes crashing down around him. from a young age, jason had a talent with music. he could literally pick up almost any instrument and within hours learn the basics of how to play. he mostly sticks with guitar, drums, bass, violin, and piano but set him in a room with any instrument in the world and he'll be able to figure it out. he is also an incredible singer with an unbelievable range. he can also do screaming and growling vocals. music is his healthy escape from everything. he's a big fan of bouncy music (brokencyde, blood on the dance floor, etc.) but he enjoys a bit of everything from classical to metal. as would be expected from someone with a past as disturbing as jason's, he is broken and shattered and struggling to breathe in a world he feels never wanted him in the first place. he is suicidal, with two failed suicide attempts that haunt him every day, and his addictions are becoming increasingly worse at a terrifying level. he does not believe in love yet he is desperate for someone to save him, to wrap him up in their arms and tell him that everything will be okay. every cut, every shot, and every drug brings him just one step closer to the edge and he honestly has no idea how he'll be able to hang on another year... but things always have to get better, don't they? he hopes so.

0VI. overall history jason is one of those kids that have had a hard life from the start. he was a mistake, something his whole family frequently tells him, conceived the one time his parents had unprotected sex. his mother had been off the pill and both of his parents had been too drunk at the time to even remember what a condom was. couple months later, his mother realized she was pregnant. it is surprising that jason came out as "normal" as he is, considering his mother drank heavily throughout the whole pregnancy. from the day he was born, jason suffered abuse from everyone. his cries as a baby were ignored, he was rarely fed or bathed, and sometimes sat in the same dirty diaper for hours. his family, being a bunch of drug addicts and alcoholics, never did a damned thing to help the poor kid so he was forced to grow up pretty fast. too fast. his whole history still haunted him today and more than likely will cause him to be a little messed up in the head for the rest of his life.

traumatically, jason was introduced to sex at the young age of five years old. his uncle started to molest him any time they were left alone together. holidays became even more of a nightmare for the poor toddler and he quickly turned to a deadly way to try and take away the pain. at the age of just seven years old, little jason picked up razor blade and sunk the metal into his right thigh. that was his first scar. it is still there, three inches long and paler than his skin. on top of the molestation, which carried on until he was twelve years - the year his uncle died due to a drug overdose -, jason was also raped by not one but two drunk men at one of his family's new years parties. they lured him into the basement, locked the door behind him, and used his body to pleasure themselves one after the other. they stuffed his mouth with rags so no one would hear him screaming. jason still has nightmares about it. he can remember the pain and the blood and the way it felt when they touched him... just thinking about it makes him reach for the razor to end the pain.

the year after his uncle died, when he was just thirteen, jason took to the streets. he became a prostitute. what drove him to it he doesn't understand. maybe he became one just so he would have someone to hold on to at night. maybe he just got tired of being so alone. with prostitution came drugs and alcohol, things that were all too easy to gain access to due to his living situation. his parents never noticed when drugs or alcohol went missing. they were usually too fucked up to even notice if he was home or not. most days his mother was passed out drunk on the floor and his father was out somewhere unknown, more than likely cheating on the woman he had married so many years ago. they never noticed anything jason did. some nights, he would even bring various men and women into the house and up to his bedroom. no one ever noticed. no one ever cared.

when he was fifteen, he got his first tattoo - illegally, of course, but he got it for free. or, well, in exchange for sex. this was how he got most things in his life. his whole family was rich, he didn't even know where all the wealth came from, so he could have bought the world without lifting a finger, but instead he just kept selling his body. rumors were of course spread around school and around town. he hardly had any friends and the few he had usually never lasted very long. he was cheated on. he's been in abusive relationships. he attempted suicide twice his sophomore year of high school. the first time was in december. he tried overdosing in an ally, but a policeman found him and brought him to the hospital. the second time was in march. he cut himself deep, but not deep enough. again, he was found and brought to the hospital.

another thing he did when he was fifteen was he got really into music. he learned how to play the guitar, drums, bass, violin, and the piano. he can also sing and so scream and growls. he wanted to try and make a living out of his talents and was overjoyed when the opportunity arose for him to join speed static. not bothering to tell his parents he was leaving, jason just packed his bags and went off to join the band straight out of high school. or rather, while he was still in high school. he was half way through his senior year when he joined. at least he managed to finish school before dropping everything and giving his all to the band.
